2 Month Appointment

Is there anything more sad then a baby’s cry after they’ve been poked with three needles? Probably, but it sure doesn’t seem like it. Poor baby has slept all evening, must’ve been pretty traumatic.

CIMG7736

Other than that everything is looking good. She’s 11lbs 6oz and 23.5 inches long. I will spare you the percentile numbers as I’m not even sure I know what they mean. My best guess after contemplating them a little is that she’s tall but pretty average in every other measurement. She’s developing perfectly, despite my irregular enforcement of ‘tummy time’. No flat head yet, haha. Kind of a funny thought…flat head. Probably not as funny if you have one.

I cleaned my house today. I feel this is a huge accomplishment. How does anyone get anything done with kids? Especially more than one?? I feel crazy enough as it is. Maybe multi-tasking will take on a whole different meaning to me then.

It appears winter has decided to show its cold/wet face. I should be grateful that it decided to wait a whole extra month….I’ll work on that gratitude thing once spring has come. Until then I will enjoy what is left of my favorite time of the year. Black Friday is coming, Yay!

My sister made her mother-in-law take a few of her kids when they got their first shots because she had this thought that they would remember who it was that took them, and she didn't want it to be her. Ha ha!

Okay, I may be dumb but, what is "tummy time"..?

I should make someone else take her next time, that's a good idea!

"tummy time" is something they came up with because babies are supposed to sleep on their backs now, so they say they need about an hour a day on their tummies to strengthen neck muscles, keep their backs straight, and prevent the "flat head" in the back. The pediatrician checked Kambri's head but said it was still "nice and round". hahaha.
