Some Fun during those drab winter months

Kali and I got out quite a bit during the beginning of this year with the kids.

There was a cold week that we really needed a day out of the house and decided it would be an adventure to drive over to the train station- just a minute from my house- and ride the train an hour and a half to Ogden to check out a children's museum.

For those of you in Utah you may remember there was an unusual day with freezing rain that made everything super slippery. More accidents than I can ever remember happened on that day. We saw several on the freeway from the train.

Walking the two and half blocks to the museum was pretty funny. We tried to iceskate the whole way....it was a very slippery walk. Luckily we didn't fall over (due to the strollers), in fact we laughed the whole way.

The kids really enjoyed this cute treehouse museum!

I also got some pictures of the dinosaur museum...

And after the museum we wandered through Thanksgiving Points cute little shops until we found the indoor garden I remebered they had. Such a nice break to 'pretend' we were outside in the warmth!

We also did Cabellas for the free fish viewing and fudge samples, yum!

We checked out the Traverse outlets after Cabella, they have some great clearance deals in the kids stores!

Now onto the warm day activities! :)

Happy Birthday to my baby girl

 I'm not even sure I can technically call you that anymore. You are well on your way to being a full blown toddler. Speaking sentences and running more than walking, you can be shy and serious around others, and silly when it's just us. You give me a little "peas" and then if you don't get your way within five seconds you will let anyone within earshot know it. My sweet stubborn girl, Happy 2nd Birthday :)

Justin squoze (is that a word?) 25 lemons for his daughter...or maybe me, either way he's awesome :)
