Our New House
Here are some pictures of our progress. I think it will probably take weeks to unpack everything. Who knew we had so much stuff?? The upstairs still mostly consists of boxes, but I've tried to get the downstairs put together so we can walk around without tripping on stuff. Koda is always sad to see a box of fun stuff to chew on put away where it belongs. haha.

Cats & Dogs
Animals are so entertaining. I've had to drop my puppy off at my family's house every morning before work so he doesn't make too much noise (or mess!) in our apartment. I've been stashing him and all his stuff in their laundry room....the current abode of my mom's calico kitty.
I've never seen a cat look so put out.
Here's something I found that I think this describes both cats and dogs perfectly:

EXCERPTS FROM A CAT'S DIARY
DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.
DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.
DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was...Hmmm. Not working according to plan.
DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.
DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. More importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.
DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird on the other hand has got to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured. But I can wait, it is only a matter of time...

The Cutest Puppy!
Alright... so I kind of jumped the gun and bought a puppy before a house. I've been looking at puppies for months knowing that I couldn't have one....but with the acceptance of our offer and finding the exact mix of dog I wanted I called up my mom and begged her to "puppy sit" for a week or two until we could move in. She was not very excited, "If you must..." was her response. All of a minute later I decided "Yep... I think I must". But every one else (with the exception of my dad and my family's other pets) was very excited ;). I think the rest are warming up to him though, How can you not love that little face?
We'll hopefully be closing on our home sometime next week. I'm so excited! It definetly feels like it's been a long time coming (Our first offer for a home was made in July!).
He's extremely soft and furry, but he only weighs two pounds and he's only supposed to be six pounds full grown! He is so cute (especially when he is sleeping and not trying to eat the wall, my shoe, the cords, my hand, the carpet, etc...). When he's excited he hops, not walks :).

Ahhh fall....
It's going to end too soon. I've still got more Halloween stuff I want to do, but I guess I ought to be worrying about school as well (only 2 1/2 more classes!) or else I'm going to have to postpone my graduation again :s. We're still waiting to hear about the house, but here's what we've been up to recently:

(Justin was very proud of his (on the right) haha)

P.S- I saw this in an email called "Halloween is going to stink for the kids this year..." I thought it was kind of funny :)

Moving out...
Well, wish us Luck. We're hoping we get our new house in the next couple of weeks so we gave our 60 days notice for the apartment. There's a 99% chance we'll get it, but if not we may be camping under my parents pool table for a few weeks!
Here are some pictures of it :)

Autumn Fun
I love the fall. This year has been no exception, although it seems to have come so fast! Does anyone else think that summer was just a few weeks too short?

For my birthday I dragged my entire family to a corn maze. I had a great time. However, after an hour and a half in the dark, tripping over fallen stocks and making no progress (we hadn't even found the first bridge out of three), my family was ready to give up the satisfaction of doing it themselves and instead clung to one of the "orange-vest men" who we knew had the knowledge of the path leading out of the endless corn. It's a good thing we did too, he did not take any detours and it still took at least ten minutes to get us out. We would probably have been there until morning.
(I think I blinded Kali in this shot, hehe )
Last Saturday we headed up the canyon to Cascade Springs to meet my dad with the 4-wheelers. It was so beautiful, I couldn't believe it. Here are a few pictures:
(I have since cut and dyed my hair...
I'll have to get a new picture on here)
(Justin & his new truck)
(Kylan is very serious about getting dirty)
(My dad enjoying the scenery)
Amazing ;). I love the fall and Halloween activities. In the next month my plans include the mystery dinner theatre, haunted houses, carving pumpkins, frightmares, witches night out, just to name a few. If anyone wants to come along just let me know, Mwahaha. It will be fun :D.

A Quick Trip to Denver
About two weeks ago Justin told me that he needed to drive to pick up something for work from Denver. He also said that this would be a great chance to visit his grandparents, whom i've only met once over five years ago. I like road trips, so we took the chance.

Oh, Justin also said he would get me a new camera for my birthday.....haha, alright... so I was the one that convinced him to buy it for me early, but it made the trip so much more fun!
It was such a long drive. We left Saturday just after noon (I wanted to can peaches with my mom first) and didn't get there until after midnight.
Justin's grandparents live in the forrest. That is the best way to describe it. An old cabin in the woods. We got inside and talked with them for the next hour before going to bed. Amongst the conversations of family history (apparently Justin is related to Pocohontas, Constantine, a declaration of independence signer, and a few kings of England....whoa) and current happenings it was mentioned that there were indian spirits outside that could be heard during the spring and fall around the cabin. In fact, in the room that we were going to be staying there was an indian that would stand outside the window all night long. Hmm....just what I was hoping to hear staying in the middle of the woods... at one o' clock in the morning.
Needless to say it was a long night.
(outside the window the next morning... Indian free!)
We enjoyed exploring around their home and talking with them for a while more the next morning before having to leave. It was much less eerie during the day :), and it was fun to learn more about Justin's mom's family.
Their backyard:
My new camera is amazing. It's tiny (about the size of my phone), takes great pictures, stores family & friends' faces so they are always in focus, has an easy setting for every kind of picture, anti shake/blur, and takes pictures automatically when you smile. I love it.

Here are some neat pictures that I got while we were driving home... all were taken flying by at about 80 mph ;).
