Look

Kambri totally has my stare! It's nice that I can claim part of her since she could basically pass for one of Justin's siblings if they were still younger.

(see below)

What to do...

When you're stuck in traffic for over an hour?

First, you remove the boots and socks your mom had to tackle you down to get on.

Then,
....................

Yep, that would've been my first thought too.

Mmmm

Made these yesterday. Talk about delicious and easy! Just how I like it. We even carved one of the pumpkins on our porch for the pumpkin. Perfect for a Sunday evening in Autumn-time.

You can find the 20 minute recipe Here.

Halloween Decor

I'm almost done decorating for Halloween...

I ended up making most of the pieces, the pre-made stuff is still kind of expensive.

This is my favorite piece made....the wreath turned out alright too.
and thanks again Michelle for the white vinyl!

The pumpkin one turned out alright...not my favorite, but the 3d effect of the stacked paper is cool. I also love the sparkly glitter ;). The happy haunting changes color and was only $3, bada bing!

Did I mention I like shiny/sparkly stuff? This pumpkin is my favorite, I got it at rod works a few years ago, and it just shines all day long. The glass ornaments were on clearance at hobby lobby for $2 as was the bandana beneath them.

another one of those, eh it turned out alright projects. I'll just call it festive :). The ghost was on clearance at Roberts a couple of years ago.

Another awesome printable, and odds and ends from Rod Works.

This is actually one I did last month for fall. It needs a bit more distressing, but I like the way it turned out.

This is Justin's favorite part of the fall decorating. And I have to admit it does bring a little of the autumn spirit inside the kitchen.

Last thing on my agenda....to add candy corn to the glass potpourri holders behind the sink. Justin let me know he would eat them all, but I'm going to try anyway ;)

Tickles

I've been meaning to get this up for a little while. Kambri's new favorite word is 'tickle' which just sounds so funny coming out of her little mouth.

Here she is at Kylan's farewell....

The State Fair

I love Autumn.

The state fair is kind of the epitemy of autumn time. There are fluffy and farm animals, cool crisp air, vegetables, the smell of rain, good food....and on and on.

Our friends invited us to go this year, and it was a blast!

Mother Gooses' Husband.

The sea lion show....this was awesome!

The kangaroos

A baby trying to escape

And I didn't even get a picture of our giant icecream cone. All homeade fresh berry icecream....delicious.

I think I will have a farm when I grow up.

Elder Brother

My one and only brother entered the MTC on Wednesday, beginning his two year service as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is headed to the San Bernadino, California, mission. Compared to a few years ago, I am not worried about him at all. He has had so many recent promises from the patriarch, the bishop, and now the stake president that he will grow to be something more than any of us could have dreamed....and he will end up being somebody very important. It will be fun to watch him :). So here's to my Elder Brother- Kylan. May you have the best two years of your life.

Just minutes before he went into the MTC.

Kylan has known Justin since he was 10 years old!

The baby that was woken up from her nap.

Only Dad would do.

Justin was headed to work at the temple after this, thus the church clothes.

We love you Kylan!!!

The Doc

This was right before we went to Kambri's 12 month Dr. appointment,

She is perfectly healthy, 50% in weight, 75% in height.
...And one sad girl after those yucky shots.

Good thing we've got another three months til we have to do it again :)

A Wild Party

Kali and Justin threw Dextin an awesome first birthday party. The theme was jungle animals.

Look at the awesome decorating. The mood lighting and jungle background music made me feel like I was at Disneyland.

They played the game where you have an animal on your back and have to guess what it is using only 'yes' or 'no' questions. Followed by jungle animal charades.
The kids had a ball pit and a movie in Dextin's room to keep them occupied.

And for dessert? Banana splits. yum.

Kali made the cake herself.

And here's the birthday boy with his giant cupcake!

So fun. Good job guys.

A One Year Old Birthday

Kambri turned One year old yesterday! I can't believe it. One year ago she looked like this:

And now we've got a much bigger version:

(who will not leave her ponytails alone. dangit.)

So Happy First Birthday to my sweet spunky girl.

Let's take a look at your birthday party.

First the Invite:

Mom spent a lot of time decorating for your special day:

And a lot of time baking. Along with your awesome aunts who came to help.

We made you sugar cookies, cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered bananas, and caramel apples.

And water to drink

Pretty sure you had a great time in your cupcake top and pink skirt.

And you had so many guests!

Some little:

(Brighton & Liberty)

(Titan)

(Kyler)

(Uncle Zach)

(Dextin. He already knows how to make an entrance.)

(less frightening version)

And some a little bigger.

(Grandma)

(Great Grandma)

(Grandpa)

(various aunts and uncles)

We all played the 'Kambri Quiz'

You got to open your very first presents. Last Christmas doesn't count since we did it for you.

(Aunt Stefi helped a little...)

(Yay, awesome toy!)

(they just kept on coming!)

(had to test this one out)

And you got to have your very first cupcake:

(Yes, we were much more excited than you.)

(Mmm mmm good.)

After which we proceeded to party the night away!

Happy Birthday to my favorite one year old!

Love, mom.
