A Much Needed Trip

I finally got a vacation! My dad was going down to Mexico for a day or two anyway so we tagged along.

Weds 5/4- Drop off my baby. Hope that she does well. Very sad to leave her for the first time this long.
-Drive 10 1/2 hours to the Oceanside, CA condo
-Walk the pier just outside the condo and find an Italian place where we eat outside and watch the sun set on all the boats. Very pretty.
-Sleep

Thurs 5/5-
-Drive to Newport Beach/Balboa Island

We ferried our car across the bay

Spent some time on the beach

Tried to get something usable to put in a frame. Didn't really succeed.

Looked for Sand Crabs

All around did nothing

After a few hours of that we had lunch and went on a Boat Harbor Tour. I wanted to do a whale watching tour but we missed them by about three weeks.

Most of these homes cost upwards of $10 million. Our guide pointed out quite a few owned by celebrities/very wealthy business people (i.e. Vanna white, Mrs. Field, Kobe Bryant, Chuck Norris, Shirley Temple, etc.)

I just thought this one was pretty. I could never live here, my history of potted plants proves that.

And of course we couldn't leave the island without a ride on the Ferris Wheel!

After our day trip we dropped my dad off at the border and headed back to the condo.

Friday 5/6- Disneyland. Yay!

I found a program that would minimize your expected wait time for rides and give you a schedule to follow. It worked very nicely. We waited twice for 25 minutes and every other ride was under 15 minutes. We walked right in for several of them.

The only picture we took of us there. It was a very busy day to get both parks in.

I will say though that This is my favorite area:

Along with this one:

This was by far our favorite ride (rode it three times and never waited more than 10 minutes!) Best Coaster E.V.E.R.

The Aladdin Musical saved my feet for 45 minutes, and was actually really well done!

Yep, they totally flew all around the audience for this song. Very impressive.

And This restaurant was absolutely amazing. They usually only take reservations, but they happened to have an open spot right when we walked in. I will say that it was very expensive. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome. It felt like you were outside with the crickets chirping and the little boats from the pirates ride floating by.

Yes, Disneyland is good times.

We drove down to San Diego that night.

Saturday 5/7- Slept in.

Went to the San Diego Zoo. Justin was very excited about this.

Ate lunch at the treetop cafe

Took more pictures of flowers than animals

Though I did think this Giraffe was pretty

Bummed the tiger and her baby were hiding and the black panther was sleeping.

Drove down to Rosarito, Mexico.

Had an authentic Mexican Meal. Never knew I would actually like a stuffed chilli!

Watched movies.

Sunday 5/8- One last look at the beach.

And home we went!

Such a fun trip. So Short and long at the same time. I sure missed my baby!

I Have to say a few Thank you's too.

Josh & Andrea for taking Kambri. They did great, and we are glad she was safe and happy.
Becca & Brady for feeding our dogs. So nice not to have to worry about them!
Koda & Summer for the puppy money which made this vacation possible.

It's nice to be back, refreshed and ready to start all the normal stuff again.

What do you do to get pictures of both of you? do you ask people or have a stand because everytime I ask someone to take a picture they alway look pretty bad. I'm glad they turned out

The pictures of the beach and the ferry my dad took. The picture of disneyland we asked some random lady who was standing there, and funny enough the picture at the zoo a lady asked Us if we wanted a picture. haha!
